TRIA/Keliix Partnership Renewed 2020

March 2021

March is our anniversary month of our partnership with TRIA Orthopedics. The TRIA/HealthPartners/Park Nicollet Clinic brand, which exudes quality, comprehensive, and personal orthopedic care, is consistent with our goals and mission at Keliix. As part of the agreement, HealthPartners and Park Nicollet Clinic also sponsor the Keliix Sampaku Youth Program for five to eight-year-old boys and girls who are enthusiastic for soccer. Also, as part of the agreement, Keliix players and families have participated in TRIA’s concussion Baseline ImPACT testing, education sessions at TRIA’s Bloomington clinic, TRIA’s injury prevention programs, and assistance with our warmup routines. We hope that we will be able resume in-person activities, which were paused during the COVID pandemic, in the very near future.

THANK YOU TRIA!

Summer, 2018

Keliix Intra Soccer Club is excited to announce that it has entered into a partnership agreement with TRIA, a Minneapolis based provider of Orthopedic and Sports Medicine and leader in orthopedic treatment, rehabilitation and injury prevention services.

TRIA began as a partnership between a private sports medicine practice (The Orthopaedic Center), a multi-specialty healthcare provider (Park Nicollet Health Services) and an academic center (Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, University of Minnesota Physicians). Today this nonprofit organization has more than 70 highly-trained orthopedic doctors with a variety of sub-specialties. The TRIA Sports Medicine team cares for athletes at all levels serving as official team physicians for the Minnesota Wild and Minnesota Twins to area high schools (including Benilde, Holy Angels, Southwest, Washburn and many more).

Southwest Metro’s Keliix Intra Soccer Club also is a nonprofit and it too has grown in the last twenty five years. Established in 1991 as a boutique soccer club with only four teams, the club now has approximately 400 soccer players including its Sampaku Youth Program. Although the club is a big family where the coaches are former players and the entire club travels together annually to an away soccer tournament, the club is dedicated to quality training and competitive success.

The Keliix/TRIA partnership is a perfect fit for both parties. Keliix believes the TRIA brand, which exudes quality, comprehensive, and personal orthopedic care, is consistent with the goals and mission at Keliix. As part of the agreement, HealthPartners and Park Nicollet Clinic also sponsor the Keliix Sampaku Youth Program for five to eight-year-old boys and girls who are enthusiastic for soccer.

Also as part of the agreement, Keliix players and families have participated in TRIA’s concussion Baseline ImPACT testing and education sessions at TRIA’s Bloomington clinic.

“Most high schools are already educating athletes about concussions and baseline testing,” said Keliix board member Kelly Keady, “however, younger athletes are at risk too which is one of the reasons why Keliix has partnered with TRIA.”

Keliix players are also enrolled in TRIA’s injury prevention programs where they are tested at the beginning of the season, receive special training by TRIA athletic trainers during the season, and tested again at the end of the season to evaluate the athletes’ progress. Both parties are excited about the partnership and anticipate their relationship will last for years to come.
